The release of German-Canadian former arms lobbyist Karlheinz Schreiber on bail from a Munich prison has been confirmed by a German court, according to a media report.

Prison authorities were within their rights to place a young man who killed a Toronto teen at the urging of his girlfriend in maximum security detention, Federal Court has ruled.

A Pakistani court convicted Osama bin Laden's three widows and two of his daughters of illegally entering and living in the country and sentenced them to 45 days in prison, with credit for time served, their lawyer said.
