The Pride Flag was raised today at noon at Toronto City Hall with City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam hosting the festivals and Councillor Shelley Carroll reading the Proclamation from the mayor for the start of Toronto's Pride Week.

Mayor Rob Ford said today that he will not be attending the Pride Flag raising at City Hall on Monday due to another commitment. This is the second year that Ford will not be part of the event.
