Government inspectors test imported juice for unapproved chemical.
Some of the world's most commonly used pesticides are killing bees by damaging their ability to navigate, reducing numbers of queens, research suggests.

Pregnant women who showed higher exposure to a common agricultural pesticide had babies with slightly lower birth weights, a study by Canadian and U.S. researchers has found.


Even low doses of popular pesticides can reduce bees' survival and reproduction, two new studies show.


There is not enough evidence to justify a provincewide ban on the cosmetic use of pesticides but the regulations restricting their use should be tightened, according to a special committee of B.C. MLAs.
