Man convicted in Mayerthorpe RCMP killings denied parole

A man convicted of manslaughter in the deaths of four RCMP officers near Mayerthorpe, Alta., was denied parole at a hearing Wednesday.

Mountie murderer denied parole 25 years later

In January 1987, Andrew Kay gunned down RCMP officer Gordon Kowalczyk on a highway outside Calgary. On Thursday, Kay was denied parole after serving 25 years in prison for the crime.
