Hollywood studio Warner Bros claims their competitors Paramount and Sony are inflating their box-office numbers in order to take top sales positions in the U.S.

Entertainment website, The Wrap, was able to get their hands on a leaked e-mail from Paramount in regards to upcoming motion picture projects, which have some remakes and adaptations.

In a previous report, rumors swirled that producers were planning a Top Gun movie sequel with Tom Cruise. Now, it appears Cruise may not be back in action. Paramount Studios says it has no plans to make a sequel.

Warner Bros. switched to Sony’s Blu-ray technology last week, and now Paramount is planning to drop its support of HD DVD technology as well. If they do, it will be almost over for Toshiba's HD DVD format.
