Papa John's faces a $250 million class-action for sending its customers unsolicited text messages. The customers joined in a class-action allege that in 2010, Papa John's franchises sent them a total of 500,000 text spam that advertised pizza deals.

Papa John's CEO John Schnatter says that with Obama having won the election, and with no hope of repeal of his health care reform, employees may have to pay the cost with reduced hours. Twitter and Facebook users have threatened to boycott Papa John's.

Papa John's CEO John Schnatter, says Obamacare will force a $0.11 to $0.14 price increase per pizza or $0.15 to $0.20 per order because the company, the third-largest pizza chain in the US, will have to offer coverage to more of its 16,500 employees.

Papa John’s is offering a free medium pizza with any online pizza order for any Facebook user. This offer is available only for this week.

Papa John's International, based in Louisville, KY, announced its new ordering option, text messaging. Text message orders can be used at all 2,700 Papa John's restaurants across the US.
