Some Ontario Swine Flu victims kept in hospital for 3 months

Some of the 1,541 admitted to hospital for severe Swine Flu in Ontario are still there after 94 days. A government report says the peak of Swine Flu was five to six times worse than the past 5 flu seasons. 101 babies were admitted to hospital.

Ontario: Deadly Swine Flu surge kills 24 people in 72 hours

A deadly Swine Flu surge in Ontario has killed 24 people in a 72-hour period, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. Up until Nov. 10, Ontario's death toll stood at 37. The new total of deaths in Ontario is now 61, the highest in Canada.

Three years after swine flu closed Mexico City and caused an international scare, the Mexican government and local media are at odds over the severity of this season's flu virus.


A new strain of the swine flu virus called A(H3N2) may now be spreading through person-to-person contact, the Public Health Agency of Canada says.
