Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel was part of a prestigious panel at Cooper Union in New York City on Sunday night. The idea of the strong protecting the weak was discussed, with Wiesel indicating he thinks force should've been used against Syria's Assad regime.
Italian Nobel scientist Rita Levi-Montalcini died Sunday at her home in Rome at the age of 103, according to a statement from Rome mayor Gianni Alemanno. Mr. Alemanno called her death a great loss "for all of humanity."
The Washington Post reports that German Nobel laureate, Günter Grass, is attempting to set the record straight on a poem that sharply criticizes Israel. Grass maintains he was attacking the government's current policies, and not Israel as a whole.
