Mitt Romney won the Nevada Caucus on Saturday, February 4, 2012, by a significant edge. Establishing his status as the prohibitive front-runner in the 2012 GOP presidential race, he was followed by Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum.

Former Governor Mitt Romney easily won the the 2012 Nevada Republican Caucus. Texas Congressman Ron Paul took third place race while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich secured the second position.

To the surprise and disarray of the Republican establishment, Congressman and OB/GYN Dr. Ron Paul, placed second in todays Nevada Caucus. A strong showing of independent voters pushed him above every single Republican candidate excluding Mitt Romney.
