Divers have resumed looking for 21 people missing off western Italy since last weekend's partial sinking of the Costa Concordia, with navy explosive experts using micro charges Saturday to blow through windows of the cruise ship.


The search for a missing Ottawa diver resumed near Digby Neck, N.S., at daybreak Thursday.


Canadian divers Alexandre Despatie and partner Reuben Ross earned Olympic berths after qualifying for the men's three-metre synchronized springboard event Monday in London.


A diver from Ottawa has been reported missing off Freeport, near the end of Digby Neck.

A Navy training jet that crashed into an apartment building in Virginia Beach, Va., shortly after takeoff this afternoon suffered a mechanical malfunction, the Navy said.
