A 28-year-old Toronto area woman, Jennifer Pan, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison with no chance of parole for the murder of her mother and serious wounding of her father. She was convicted last month and sentenced on Friday, January 23rd.
School authorities at Fort Colville Elementary School in Washington state were stunned when they recently uncovered a plot by two fifth-grade students to kill their classmate because "she was really annoying."
The case began in 2006 in federal court with a grand jury indicting the two elderly women on nine counts of mail fraud and related charges for making false insurance claims. Further investigating of the case, led to charges of a murder conspiracy.
