Young Megan Meier hung herself after she was spurned by her MySpace boyfriend. The boyfriend never existed. He was a creation of the mother of one of Megan’s classmates. The mother, Lori Drew, was found guilty Tuesday of creating a fake persona.

The trial is set to begin next week, November 18, but prosecutors may no longer have a case if evidence of Megan Meier’s suicide is excluded. Should the evidence be allowed, or could it lead to setting a dangerous precedent?

The mastermind in the cyberbully stunt that led to the suicide of Megan Meier was suppose to begin trial this month as prosecutors released details of how Lori Drew bragged of her prankster deeds to others. Megan Meier died two years ago.

An online hoax turned deadly in October of 2006, resulting in the suicide of a 13-year-old girl. The hoax against Megan Meier was allegedly perpetrated by adults, one was Lori Drew and she has just been indicted for her role in Megan's death.
