Virgina Tech University is on lockdown today after two people, including a police officer, were shot and killed on campus today. As shown on the university website, the alert started today at 12:37pm.

Three Toronto schools were in lockdown Thursday morning for a non-school related gun call. By 12:30 the schools were back in session an operator at 55 Division said.

Spokane -
A local bank in Spokane Valley, Washington was robbed and caused area school to be put on lockdown while police searched for the suspect. The official press release from the Spokane Valley Police follows.

A high school in Pickering was locked down for about 90 minutes this afternoon while police tracked suspected from a violent home invasion in the area.

An Ajax teen is now in custody after bringing a handgun to one of the school's portable classrooms on Monday. The boy was arrested with no danger to other students.
