TransCanada eyes eastern markets for LNG — awaits regulatory OK

Calgary - TransCanada Corp. is asking federal regulators for permission to sign new long-term supply contracts to ship gas from Western Canada through existing pipelines to eastern markets, including Atlantic Canada.
