The B.C. government has moved to limit debate and pass the bill ending job actions by the province's 41,000 teachers, with passage expected by Thursday afternoon.

The federal government says it is not muzzling its scientists, but others inside and outside Canada's scientific community are concerned with what they see as an alarming trend to limit the free exchange of knowledge.
