Residents of Toronto-Danforth will head to the polls Monday in a byelection that will fill the federal seat left vacant by the death of Jack Layton.


The late NDP leader Jack Layton was known as a proud grandfather, and his daughter Sarah gave birth Thursday to another girl, named Solace.


Prime Minister Stephen Harper has called a byelection for the Toronto riding of the late NDP leader Jack Layton, who died last August from cancer.
