US unemployment rises to 9.2% in June, economy stalled

Washington - New figures released by the US Department of Labor on Friday show just 18,000 jobs added in June, the smallest number in nine months, and the unemployment rate rose to 9.2 percent, putting another damper on any possibility of economic recovery.

US job losses in November down, unemployment figure revised down

The good news is that US job losses were only 11,000 in November. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has also revised previous figures for September and October by effectively reinstating 148,000 jobs previously described as lost in a reevaluation.
