Labatt Breweries is backing off a potential lawsuit against the Montreal Gazette. The beer maker had considered legal action against the newspaper over a photo the paper published of alleged killer Luka Rocco Magnotta holding a bottle of Labatt Blue.

When Labatts announced today to move part of the production of Nova Scotia's most popular beer resulting in the layoff of approximately 30 positions, it didn't take long for a backlash to start.
