Night-flying drones combat Africa's poaching problem

Wildlife conservationists fighting poaching in Africa are being assisted from on high — by unmanned aerial drones that expose poachers. The drones are also helping to stabilize the tourism industry, which has been severely impacted by wildlife deaths.

Two lions and 110 vultures poisoned at Kruger Park in S. Africa

On Wednesday, officials said two lions and more than 100 vultures died in South Africa's Kruger National Park. The animals died after eating a poisoned elephant carcass.

57 rhinos killed in South Africa last month

Johannesburg - Poachers in South Africa last month killed 57 rhinos, almost two a day, across the country's national parks in the face of intensified anti-poaching operations by the Department of Environmental Affairs.
