Kano - One hundred couples were married at a mass wedding in the city of Kano, north central Nigeria, on Tuesday. The ceremony was the culmination of efforts of the city's Islamic police at helping widows find new husbands and stable families for their children.

Kano - Gunmen attacked church services on the campus of Bayero University in the city of Kano, Nigeria, on Sunday. The attackers used explosives to draw the worshipers out and then opened fire on them as the fled, killing about 20 people and wounding several.
