The man who is accused of murdering and dismembering Montreal student Jun Lin, videotaping the incident and posting it on the Internet, now wants all members of the public banned from his upcoming hearing.
Police have discovered what appears to be a human head in Montreal's Angrignon Park. Tests are needed to confirm if the head is that of Chinese student Lin Jun whom Luka Magnotta has been charged with murdering.
In his first Canadian court appearance today, alleged murderer Luka Magnotta has pleaded not guilty to all counts. China is urging Canada to ensure that victim Jun Lin receives justice in the upcoming trial.
Jun Lin's family arrived in Montreal Tuesday night to speak with police and Concordia University officials. Lin's mother was overcome by emotion as she sobbed in mourning for her son, a Concordia student allegedly slain by Luka Magnotta.
