Milky Way kicks out 700 stars, discovered in intergalactic space

Youngstown - It seems our Milky Way galaxy doesn't want nearly 700 stars. A lot has to happen in order for a star to leave a galaxy, such as a meeting with a black hole. Scientists have discovered these rogue stars in intergalactic space.

3 million miles an hour, neutron star heading out of galaxy

Well, if we were looking for an escape velocity from this big starry pizza, we’ve found one. A neutron star, the core of a star which went super nova, has fired itself so fast that it’s now leaving the galaxy.
