UN expert refused access to U.S. federal jails and Guantanamo

Washington - Juan Mendez, a UN expert on torture has been refused access both to Guantanamo Bay facilities but also to U.S. federal prisons. Mendez has discussed access to the prisons for two years now with U.S. authorities.
