Sri Lankan President to release 130,000 Tamils by December Special

President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa has vowed to release 130,000 Tamils inside the internal displacement camps by December 1 and the camps will be completely closed by the end of January 2010.

Hundreds of Tamils protest in Toronto Special

Saturday marked the 178th day since demonstrations began in front of the United States Consulate in Toronto and also the 150th day since displacement camps for the Tamil people in Sri Lanka started. Hundreds of protesters walked the streets of Toronto.

The Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize Winner Tawakul Karman has visited a refugee camp in Turkey for displaced Syrians.
