Louisville - General Electric, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a massive recall on dishwashers today.

Recently, concerns have arisen over the potential fire hazards contained in some models of dishwashers. No recall has currently been issued by the manufacturer, but some individuals are pushing for one to be put into effect.

After 51 reported incidents, including 30 reports of fires, dishwashers from Siemens and Bosch are being recalled. Bosch and Siemens are working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to voluntarily recall 476,500 units.
