Invisible wounds: U.S. vets seek disability at historic rate

The country’s newest veterans are filing for disability benefits at a historic rate, claiming to be the most medically and mentally troubled generation of former troops the nation has ever seen.

U.S. government paid out $600 million to dead people

Washington - The Inspector General of the Office of Personnel Management reports the federal government has paid out more then $600 million in retirement and disability benefits to deceased federal workers and the problem doesn't appear correctable in the near future.
