Ghent - After a train carrying chemicals derailed and caught on fire, almost 300 people were evacuated from their homes in Ghent, northwestern Belgium. Update: One person is dead and 49 injured in the incident, two of which are in intensive care.

Stockholm - A Swedish cleaning lady stole an empty commuter train from a local train depot and drove it to a suburb of Stockholm. The train then derailed and crashed into an apartment building.
