NASA releases photos of comet Hartley 2

Today NASA released raw images of the comet Hartley 2, snapped by the EPOXI Mission Deep Impact spacecraft. EPOXI passed within 434 miles of this unique space object.

Only one month before comet Hartley fly-by

Pasadena - A month from now on November 4 NASA's EPOXI mission aboard the spacecraft known as Deep Impact will fly past the comet at a distance of about 700 kilometers (435 miles).

Deep Impact sends back pictures of Comet Hartley 2

The Deep Impact spacecraft has beamed down the first of more than 64,000 images it is expected to take of Comet Hartley 2. The spacecraft will fly by the comet in two months, on Nov. 4, 2010.
