A security researcher has uncovered a type of malware being used to directly steal credit card payment information straight from point-of-sale terminals at retailers, hotels and other places of business.

New York - Authorities have arrested over 100 individuals in connection with an identity theft ring in NYC. Those accused allegedly "victimized thousands" across the globe, reaching as far as Europe, China and the Middle East.

Pickering - A Toronto man has been arrested for fifteen counts of robbery. The man targeted fitness centres, making off with credit cards while patrons worked out.

I'm sure for every bust there are 50 more just like them that they probably won't catch until the damage is done...
