A funeral Mass will be held today for Officer Peter Figoski who was shot to death last week in Brooklyn. The alleged shooter had recently been released on bail after being arrested in November and had an outstanding warrant for a shooting.

More than two dozen Phoenix police officers, already indicted in what has been labeled an “off duty work scam” have now been ordered to submit DNA samples in connection with the recent shooting death of a fellow officer.

The man suspected of shooting four police officers to death in a Seattle coffee house had a long history of violent crime, for which he had served time in Arkansas and in Washington State.
