Israel launched an airstrike on Gaza on Sunday, hitting a number of targets, including a workshop in Gaza City.

Israeli airstrikes kill two Palestinian militants and a schoolboy in the Gaza Strip and Palestinian rocket squads barrage southern Israel in escalating fighting that has defied international truce efforts.

Libyans and a human rights group are calling on NATO to acknowledge casualties and compensate the victims of airstrikes launched by Western fighter jets during the country's civil war last year.

Israeli airstrikes killed a schoolboy and two other Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, while Gaza rocket squads fired salvos into southern Israel, deepening the worst round of violence between the sides in more than a year.

An Israeli airstrike killed the commander of the militant group behind the abduction of Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit and a second militant in Gaza on Friday in the highest profile attack against the coastal strip in months.
