A fresh case of torture a by religious cleric has left a child with a broken leg in Punjab province, permanently disabling the victim.

Peshawar - A four-year-old boy was slapped twice by a parent/guardian after the child tried to walk out unguarded on a dangerously busy road in University Town area in Peshawar. The elder had left the child alone and he hit the child to cover his own negligence.

News of child torture are becoming frequent in Pakistan and three cases of brutal torture in some three weeks' time make us think whether the parents are capable of caring for their children enough.
