Catalonian bull fighting ended on Sunday with a magnificent turnout in Barcelona by fans of the traditional sport. From Jan. 1, the sport will be banned in the Catalonian region of Spain though bull running will continue.

One of Spain's best matadors, Jose Tomas, almost lost his life in a bullfight staged in Mexico, losing most of his blood after a bull gored him in the upper thigh, a good place to attack if one wants to inflict heavy loss of blood.
