Canadian public health officials say a rapidly spreading variant likely has now replaced the original Covid-19 virus in many parts of the country, and new variants are making younger people sicker and sending more to the hospital.
The Brazilian variant of the coronavirus has been detected in Minnesota - making it the first known case of the P.1 variant to show up in the United States. The case involves “a Minnesota resident with recent travel history to Brazil."
