In recent months there have been numerous reports of fishermen finding a variety of colored lobsters in their nets. According to subject matter experts, many of these colored lobsters are rare.

A rare blue lobster has been caught off the Canadian coast by a fisherman in southwest Nova Scotia. The man currently has the lobster in his possession and is unsure of what to do with it.

Big Blue is a lobster of a different colour, the robin egg blue lobster was caught in the bay of Fundy and while blue lobster have been caught before never one this shade. Big blue will not be eaten.

This rare genetic oddity one won't be seeing a lobster pot instead he's going to live out his days in the comfort and safety of an aquarium.
The odds of ever seeing a blue lobster is a 1 in 3 million chance.
