Last year, Adrian Heaps introduced an initiative where employees for the city are able to rent bicycles in order to reduce vehicle use. A new similar plan called Bixi Toronto will now expand to Torontonians.
On the east side of City Hall in Toronto near Nathan Phillips Square are a dozen bicycles for use by municipal employees for the use of traveling to a destination for work purposes. A new plan will be extended to the general public.
