There were no injuries reported today after police on the Spanish island of Majorca, supposedly acting after receiving a telephone warning, were able to evacuate a restaurant before a bomb exploded.
"I saw what looked like an orange meteor busting through the roof...a half moon of orange glow," recalled Councilman Tom LaBonge, who was hiking close to the Griffith Park Observatory at 5:45 a.m. The city's declared the building "under demolition".
During a surveillance operation on members suspected of being apart of the Basque separatist group, Eta, a second Spanish policeman was shot and killed. Currently, three suspects are being hunted by French police.
