Bridge of £6bn aircraft carrier sets sail, rest of ship to follow

Portsmouth - Portsmouth Harbour, home of the Royal Navy, witnessed a curious site last week as the iconic bridge section of the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carrier the HMS Queen Elizabeth set sail on a 600 mile journey to the Naval Dockyard at Rosyth in Scotland.

Beijing - The aircraft carrier Liaoning, named after the province where it was refitted, was formerly a Soviet vessel. A Chinese company purchased the ship from the Ukraine. For now, the ship will just be used for training with no operational aircraft on board.
