Op-Ed: ‘Vertical’ farming growing nicely, but issues remain

Vertical farming is essentially a form of hydroponics, using high rise buildings to grow crops. It’s far more efficient than dirt farming, and infinitely cheaper in terms of resources, but getting the concept into mainstream business has taken a while.
