San Francisco - For more than a decade artist Cynthia Tom has been establishing and curating personal and group art expositions. Sometimes described as a visual or surreal artist, Cynthia's work is about bringing the subconscious to the conscious.

San Francisco - Healing and transformation is something that is very important to artist Cynthia Tom. This is why she has been so instrumental in the forming and on-going work of the Asian American Women Artists Association and its annual "A Place of Her Own," events.

Cynthia Tom is an artist who uses mixed media and surrealist approaches to express the deep "collective subconscious" in all of her work. She believes as 20th Century psychiatrist Carl Jung did, that art has the power to heal people.
