After more than 12 hours of talks, the countries that use the euro reached an agreement early Tuesday to give Greece 130 billion euros ($170 billion US) in additional bailout loans to save it from a potentially disastrous default next month.

The head of the International Monetary Fund says she wants the fund to contribute €28 billion ($36.4 billion Cdn) to a €130 billion bailout for Greece.

Canada's largest pension fund manager, the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, reports its net assets grew to $159 billion at end of 2011 from $151.7 billion at end of 2010 despite market challenges.
