article imageVideo pokes fun at Google Glass

The anticipation for Google glass, the high-tech specs, is growing among the more tech savvy consumers. For others, such technology will perhaps be baffling and confusing as a new amusing viral video suggests.
Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD). Google Glass displays information in a smartphone-like hands-free format. Wearers communicate with the Internet via voice commands. The technology has been launched in the U.S. and is being rolled out around the world.
While the technology is seen as exciting and innovating among the more techno-minded gadget geeks, the idea is baffling to others. This bemusement has been captured in a video called 'Elders react to Google Glass'. The amusing video has already struck up over three million views on YouTube.
While the people in the video find amusing alternatives for Google's headgear, the technology looks like being around for some time. According to TechRadar: "Google Glass is the controversial wearable that everyone mocks until they're in a position to demo it. Then they're awful nice."
Perhaps the most interesting feature is that Google Glass has the ability to take photos and record 720p HD video. Glass also uses many existing Google applications, such as Google Now, Google Maps, Google+, and Gmail. In May, Google announced that it had added Foursquare, TripIt and OpenTable to the roster.
