Los Angeles - An entertainment engineering company called Two Bit Circus will hold the world’s 1st “Carnival from the Future.” A Hacker Preview day will be held beforehand to show what types of experiences will be seen at the carnival.
Co-founders of Two Bit Circus, Brent Bushnell and Eric Gradman, have gathered up an eclectic group of engineers, designers, and creatives to create the education-based STEAM Carnival. It will be hosted at Crafted at the Port of LA from October 25-26. There will be lasers, robots, fire performances, virtual reality experiences which is sure to be a blast.
A couple of days before the main event, a Hacker Preview day will be held giving people a sneak peak of the games and amusement that will be shown at the carnival. The conference (and party) will be hosted on October 23 and will include demonstrations from IBM. It will also have an open bar with a robotic bartender who will serve everyone their drinks! Food will be provided by a local food truck as well.
In addition to the fun and games, there will be an app challenge with $7000 in cash prizes. Starting presentations will begin at 10am in the morning followed by some hands-on workshops. Group coding sessions for the app challenge will take place at 11am. The party will kick off around 5pm right as the food truck sponsored by IBM arrives. Prizes will be awarded to those who create the Best STEAM-learning app, the Best Game, Best Art or Music App, and the best in other app categories.
