Live video unfiltered, unedited and uncensored seems to be the next evolution of social media. Meerkat took the web by storm after presenting at the most recent SXSW. And while the world is still in the throes of heated debate as to which live-streaming app is better — Twitter’s app Periscope or the challenger Meerkat — we are seeing how live-streaming via mobile social can be put to use.

With the recent season premiere of Game of Thrones (apparently the most watched television series HBO has produced) multiple instances of the episode were found being streamed from Periscope.
