Bandai Namco to open a virtual reality center in Tokyo

Bandai Namco’s virtual reality center will allow people to test out virtual reality technology without spending a bunch of money. Bandai Namco will receive valuable feedback that may help it improve its VR simulations.

The company is going to offer six different games for people to try. Those games include: Ski Rodeo, Real Drive, Fear of Heights Show, Argyle Shift, Train Meister and Escape Ward Omega.

Ski Rodeo will allow you to ski down mountains, while Real Drive is a sports car driving simulation experience. Escape Ward Omega will provide you with a horror experience inside a huge abandoned hospital.

The other games involve either rescuing a cat on top of a narrow piece of wood or controlling a train as a conductor or entering mecha battles as co-operator of a massive robot.

The center is expected to open from April 15 and remain open until mid-October.

The virtual reality center, which is just about 5,870 square-feet, is going to be set up in Tokyo Plaza, and people will be able to signup on April 8, if they are interested in trying out one of the company’s demos.

Not only is Bandai Namco setting up a virtual reality center, but the company is looking into putting virtual reality kiosks in amusement-focused stores, as well as regular stores.

Additional information about the virtual reality center can be found on Bandai Namco’s website.
