article imageSamsung opens 3rd Canadian retail store, plans for more

By Milton Este     Feb 16, 2014 in Business
Samsung is really emphasizing a greater presence in the Canadian retail electronics market. Already looking for its third independent expansion, it also plans to team up with Best Buy and Future Shop for more.
Samsung recently just opened up its third "Samsung Experience Store"; this time in West Edmonton Mall. The Samsung Experience Store will have the outlooks as the Burnaby and Richmond, British Columbia stores.
Samsung appears to be copying "The Apple Store" concept, realizing consumers are more likely to buy the products after having a hands-on experience with the products, being able to use it, and being in an environment without the competition.
The 2,200 square foot location in West Edmonton Mall will feature various Samsung smartphones, tablets, notebooks, cameras, Galaxy Gear watches, and other accessories. Special guest Olympic Gold medalist Gillian Ferarri also made an appearance to celebrate the opening of this new store.
Furthermore, Samsung is also launching 90 store-in-store "Samsung Experience Stores" inside of existing Future Shop and Best Buy locations despite the fact that many will be closing down after a poor earnings figure by Best Buy. This launch should be completed by the end of spring 2014.
