At CES 2014, Shaquille O'Neil has said there is the possibility of a sequel to the 2D fighting game called "Shaq-Fu" which came out in the early 1990s.
Retired NBA player Shaquille O'Neal, known as Shaq, has a very long and promising career. Asides from being an NBA player who has played for several teams, Shaq has delved into hip-hop and movies. Also, he even had his own fighting game; that doesn't count the side-scrolling smartphone game called Shaqdown. The game is called Shaq-Fu which came out to the consoles back in the early 1990s. Shaq, attending this year's Consumer Electronic Show (CES 2014), was interviewed by GamerFitnation. He was asked if there was going to be a sequel to the game.
Shaq bluntly said there would be one. The person interviewing him was surprised and thought Shaq was joking. Coming from Shaq himself, there is going to be a sequel to Shaq-Fu. When is it going to be, the answer is unknown. Also, is he joking about it or not? Nothing's definite. At CES 2014, on the record with GamerFitnation, Shaq said there will be a sequel to the game.
The first game came out for Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Nintendo Game Boy (the original Game Boy), and the Sega Game Gear. There's even a website dedicated to the game called Save Shaq-Fu. This game plays like any 2D fighting game like Street Fighter and King of Fighters.
