article imageReview: 'Grand Theft Auto — San Andreas' offers nostalgia on the go Special

By Stan Rezaee     Dec 22, 2013 in Entertainment
'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' was not only one of the greatest games of the sixth-generation console era but a crowning achievement in pop culture. Gamers could once again hit the streets of old school Los Santos with the mobile port.
As gamers wage a gang war on the mean streets of Grand Theft Auto: Online, old school gamers could get on their mobile device (iPhone, Android, iPad etc.) for a crime spree down memory lane with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Set in the early 90's, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas follows Carl "CJ" Johnson as he returns home after the death of his mother. In no time he is picked up by a group of corrupt C.R.A.S.H. officers who force him to do their dirty work or risk being arrested for murder. To make matters worse, his former gang has lost its influence and has fallen from power.
To restore his gang to its former glory and break free from C.R.A.S.H.'s grip, CJ will embark on a journey that will take him across the state of San Andreas.
Rockstar has brought everything old school gamers loved about the original (except the Hot Coffee mini-game) along with updated graphics and a new control system to accommodate mobile devices.
Players could once again venture in Los Santos (based on LA), San Fierro (based on San Francisco), Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas), and the surrounding counties. Besides the missions; gamers could build their criminal empire by taking territory from rival gangs or do a few side jobs for extra cash. The fun is limitless.
Yet as with previous ports of Grand Theft Auto, player will have a little hard time adjusting to the new control setup. Once a gamer gets use to the control setup then they will have a fun time.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas may be one of the greatest games released for mobile devices whiling giving player more bang for their buck. After downloading this game, any other mobile game will be a waste of ones time and money.
Final Score: 4/5
