article imageSave the hassle of parking your car in NY with the new app LUXE

By Claudio Buttice     Nov 20, 2016 in Technology
LUXE is a new valet parking app that allows you to call a personal valet that will park your car in busy cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Parking the car in a traffic congested city during a busy day can be more than just a hassle. Instead of using apps such as Lyft or Uber that let you rent a car of find someone's else one to give you a lift, now you can just call a valet to park your own vehicle on the fly with LUXE. The qualified personal valets will, in fact, come to you when you pull over, park your car and come back to you whenever you want after you finished minding your own business. The valet will even take care of filling your car's tank if it's low on gas and bring the vehicle back to other parts of the city if you took, for example, public transport to move somewhere else.
The app's price is quite cheap, with an average hourly rate of just $5 that includes insurance for both valets and customers as well (the company signed a $5 million insurance plan). It even sports additional offers to compete with traditional cruise port parking businesses such as a $160 week-long cruise in New York that includes valet service, parking, storage and taxes. Compared to the standard $280 price offered by Manhattan Cruise Terminal, LUXE's affordable price can be very appealing especially to people who do not know Manhattan very well. The app's spirit is to provide its users with valet services at street parking prices with fully cashless transactions. LUXE is available in just 6 cities so far: New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin and Seattle, but Wilbur Araujo, senior operations manager, obviously aims at expanding it to other busy cities. Reservations can be made by customers from a few hours up to to a few months before.
