Roman Gonzalez of Nicaragua is No.1 in the list with 44 wins, Segey Kovalev (No.2) of Russia with 28 wins, Gennady Golovkin (No.3) of Kazakhstan with 34 wins, Andre Ward (No.4) of the U.S. with 28 wins, Gillermo Rigondeaux (No.5) of Cuba with 16 wins, Terence Crawford (No.6) of the U.S. with 27 wins and Shinsuke Yamanaka (No.9) with 24 wins.

The two boxers who are included in the Top 10 list but with one loss each include Canelo Alvarez (No. 8) of Mexico and Timothy Bradley (No.10) of the U.S. Manny Pacquiao (No.7) of the Philippines has six losses.

The pound for pound rating is compiled by Ring Magazine’s Editorial Board and updated periodically to reflect the result of each boxer’s latest fight result, performance and track record.

The Editorial Board works with the Ring Ratings Panel which is made of boxing journalists from around the world.

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao remains the longest reigning member of the Top 10 pound for pound list with 627 weeks followed by Guillermo Rigondeaux with 119 weeks and Roman Gonzalez with 78 weeks on the list.

Mexican boxing star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez took the No.8 spot in the Ring’s rating of the Top 10 pound-for-pound list after his unanimous decision win against Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico last Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

Kell Brook, who held on to the No.10 spot was eased out with the reentry of Alvarez. The panel decided to place Alvarez at No.8 because of his superior performance compared to Shinsuke Yamanaka, who was previously rated a No. 9. Read more.

With the loss of Wladimir Klitschko — who has been a longtime pound for pound lister — against Tyson Fury, Bradley has reentered the current list as No.10 following his recent victory over Brandon Rios.
